Technical
staff
In
recent years the increasing number of film productions
in Costa Rica has accelerated and raised the film
industry's technical and artistic level and greatly
extended its technical operating capacity. This
has only strengthened the Costa Rican film industry's
infrastructure and put it in a highly competitive
position.
Foreign producers and production companies don't
need to arrive weighed down by unnecessary gear
and crew personnel. More than 90% of the needed
equipment and technical staff can be hired at
a very competitive cost on a level which is equal
or better than standard.
Traveling to Costa Rica with essential personnel
and gear, and hiring good local technicians where
there is more than adequate equipment, will result
in lower production costs but with the same high
quality and reliability foreign producers have
come to expect.Costa Rica is the ideal locale
for the audiovisual producer - with its endless
variety of perfect locations with easy access,
its natural beauty, temperate weather conditions,
economic and political stability, good communication
infrastructure, hospitable people, highly motivated
and experienced professionals, and competitive
cost effectiveness.
Pura Vida Films began in 2001 as a creative collaboration
between Rodolfo Jimenez and Reinhart Peschke.
Mr. Peschke's global film experience, and Mr Jimenez'
local business expertise form the basis that is
Pura Vida Films. With offices in San Jose, Costa
Rica, Los Angeles, California, and Munich, Germany,
production companies from all over the world are
welcome to use Pura Vida Films for all their production
needs in Costa Rica. And Pura Vida Films is taking
steps to expand their services into Panama, Guatemala
and the Dominican Republic.
